I'm digging em - I'm using them on the Swing-A-Rings setup in New York City's Riverside Park. I've always been avoiding a professional look, like using grips, in favor of chalk and calluses because I think its more natural and raw. But I gotta say, I like these grips. I've worn them about half a dozen times and I can swing for longer without my hands hurting from the friction, and it feels like a steady grip on the rings.
I am having wrist problems, and I think the grip is not helping my problem, but I'm not sure I'll blame the grips as much as I'll blame a previous condition for that.
It was necessary for me to use sandpaper on the inside of the finger holes so that my fingers would fit, but that was easy enough.
At first my order was slow to ship, and was not in stock. Nobody called to let me know, so when I called a week and a half later I found out that US Glove was still waiting for my order to arrive in their warehouse or something like that. However, when I called back the next week I got the owner of the company on the phone - The first guy to pickup the phone! He asked what I was using the grips for, and when he learned my intended use (Swing-A-Rings) he suggested buying these grips rather than the ones I had origionally picked out. The leather on these grips in an intermediate thickness and breaks in faster than the ones I had first picked. I was really glad to have gotten him on the phone - He was a big help.
I've talked to a couple other Swing-A-Ring'ers and they have suggested this kind of grip rather than some of the other ones. I'm not sure if the brand matters. Anyway, I'm happy with em and I didn't mind the wait not that I've got an ideal pair to use.
PS - Get wristbands with thick padding - I think that really helps to break the friction that the wrist strap can cause. I haven't tried wearing these without wristbands yet, and I'm not sure I will. The leather is pretty touch around the wrist when you tighten these up and get swinging. So I'd suggest getting wristbands too.
