This beam is perfect for home use or at the gym. All ages and levels of gymnast can benefit from more practice!. It is only 6 inches off the floor and has a 1/2 inch of foam padding for young gymnasts. At 4 inches wide and 8 feet long, this beam is light weight and easily moved around and stored at home or in the gym.

This is a wonderful indoor practice beam for a living room or bedroom or the like. It is light weight so just about anyone can move it around (just watch the ends it is 8 ft. and you could take out a wall). It is great for practicing skills and general balance/ankle work. She can work on just about anything that can be done in 8 ft. (don't do long runs in it). The only problems I fore see are that dismounts beyond a quick round off or hand stand are off limits due to the low ground clearance and weight (but it is a beam meant for practice on the other skills), and getting past my gymnasts desire to try things that I cannot spot for (we have already hurt a toe trying a back handspring - oopsy on us...). She loves it! Just make sure that it gets moved out of the way in a walking path - brown and 6 inches off the floor can make for a nice trip. Oh, make sure there is weight on it if yours wants to do sit ups...mine can lift it with her toes when she uses it for sit ups. ;D
